When I opened my first business, Uptempo Dance Studio, I quickly realized how difficult it was to find venues for our special events. Whether it was for dances, performances, parties, or more, it was difficult to find available options that provided what we needed. My passion has always been bringing people together. Whether it is through dance or special events, seeing people gather among their friends to experience the joy & comfort of community has always been a special joy.
I wanted to provide Barrie with an event venue that offered what felt missing – a flexible space for all occasions with flexible pricing. Growing up in the entertainment industry, I always admired the way that any regular space could turn into a fantastical world. I wanted to create that kind of space in Barrie.
Thanks to modern projector technology & the help of my wonderful team, we have created a space that can transport guests from the mundane to the fantastical! Whether the fantasy is a Medieval castle, a tropical beach oasis, an urban warehouse, or a rustic barn, we can add magic back into your life so that you can have a truly magical event!
We also offer our venue as a space for performers. With our lighting system, curtain stage backdrop, and ability to set up our venue as an auditorium or for dinner-theatre, we offer flexible options for anyone looking for a performance space. As a performer myself, I want to encourage the arts in Barrie!
Not only do I dream of bringing your events to life, but I dream of providing the community with a space where community events are routinely held. From shows & social dances put on by Uptempo Dance Studio to fantasy balls & Renaissance Faires, I want to create an event venue where the community can gather & create joy together!
